Forest fire in Kullu, one die

Veer Singh, a resident of Dalashni village in Kullu district, tragically lost his life while bravely attempting to prevent a forest fire from reaching his house. The fire, which ignited on Monday evening in the Dalashni forest, swiftly advanced towards Veer Singh’s residence. Despite efforts by Veer Singh and others to control the flames, he suffered critical burn injuries after accidentally falling into the fire. He was promptly taken to Dhalpur Hospital and later referred to Nerchowk Medical College and PGI Chandigarh, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries before reaching PGI. Kullu Police, led by SP Sakshi Verma, has initiated an investigation, vowing to hold accountable those responsible for intentionally setting the forest ablaze.
