First Armed Corps Junga launched a cleanliness drive at the tourist spot Chail

In order to preserve the natural beauty and cleanliness of Himachal Pradesh’s tourist destinations, the Himachal Pradesh First Armed Corps, Junga, launched a special cleanliness drive in Chail. Organized under the “Clean Himachal, Green Himachal” campaign, the drive cleaned the forest area, roads, and public places surrounding the tourist destination.
The campaign was organized under the guidance of Commandant Bhupendra Singh Negi. Additional Superintendent of Police Babita Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Harish Sharma, and personnel from the Chail Police Outpost, along with officers and staff from various ranks of the battalion, participated in the campaign.
During the campaign, police officers and staff collected liquor bottles and other garbage discarded by tourists in the Chail forest area. The waste was placed in dustbins provided by the force and taken for proper disposal. In addition, the area was cleaned by removing litter scattered along roadsides and in public places.
During this interaction, tourists were made aware of the importance of maintaining cleanliness at tourist destinations. Tourists were urged not to throw garbage in the open and to dispose of their brought waste in designated areas.
During the cleanliness drive, Corps officers and staff were also made aware of the importance of environmental protection and cleanliness. They were urged to consider the cleanliness of public and tourist sites as their responsibility and actively contribute to environmental protection.
Commander Bhupendra Negi said that Chail is one of the state’s major tourist destinations, and a large number of tourists visit to enjoy its natural beauty. Therefore, keeping tourist destinations clean and beautiful is essential for both environmental protection and the dignity of tourism.
