Farmers must compulsorily register for digital survey of crops : Dr. Negi
The Agriculture Department will conduct a digital crop survey in Shimla district, collecting crop sowing information digitally. Dr. Ajab Negi, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Shimla, stated that farmers will be required to register for the digital crop survey. All farmers can register themselves at Lok Mitra centers to facilitate the smooth crop survey.
He explained that to register at the Lok Mitra Kendra, farmers must bring their Aadhaar card, a mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card, and the land’s Khasra number. After registration, farmers will be provided with an ID by the department, which can be used to access government services. He clarified that this registration is completely free.
He explained that this survey also includes the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, under which eligible farmers are provided financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. Dr. Negi explained that the digital crop survey will provide the government with accurate and real-time data on farmers’ crops, making it easier for farmers to benefit from government policies in the field of agriculture.
Dr. Negi appealed to farmers to complete their registration on time so that no eligible farmer is deprived of the benefits of government schemes. He explained that the digital survey will ensure more transparent and smooth distribution of benefits.
For more information, farmers can contact the Agriculture Department office or Lok Mitra Kendra.
