Drinking water crisis deepens in Rajgarh – Situation out of control

The drinking water crisis in Rajgarh city is becoming more severe day by day. Residents of the Nagar Panchayat are facing severe difficulties in obtaining drinking water. Surprisingly, the summer season has not yet fully begun, but the water problem has already become severe. According to local residents, this problem is not new in Rajgarh; it has persisted for a long time. Despite this, neither departmental officials nor political representatives have been able to find a permanent solution. Most of the water storage tanks in the city are empty, completely disrupting the supply system. According to reports, the main water supply line experiences frequent technical faults, causing frequent disruptions. A recent pipeline rupture near the helipad further exacerbated the problem, disrupting water supply in many areas.
The most worrying thing is that the department has constructed new pipelines and storage tanks in the lower area near Forest Colony, yet people are still unable to access water. This clearly indicates serious flaws in the implementation of the schemes. Some time ago, the Executive Engineer claimed in a press conference that the drinking water problem in Nagar Panchayat Rajgarh had been permanently resolved and that people would no longer face any problems. However, more than six months later, the situation remains the same. Local residents are growing increasingly angry with the administration and public representatives. They say that officials are only showing progress on paper and in statements, while the situation on the ground is completely opposite. If this serious problem is not resolved in time, the situation could become even more dire in the coming summer months. Now it remains to be seen how long it takes for the administration to take concrete steps and how seriously it will work to provide relief to the public.
Assistant Engineer JSV Rajgarh Siddharth Sharma stated that some miscreants have been tampering with the water storage tank, causing this problem. The department has filed a complaint with the police against the unknown individuals so that strict action can be taken against the miscreants.
