DCs direct Admin to clear snowfall from Shimla town

In-wake of heavy snowfall in the Shimla town Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi himself took stock of various roads today morning with the aim of making the roads smooth for movement during snowfall.  
He directed the officials that along with maintaining the smooth flow of traffic during snowfall, the work of clearing snow from the roads is necessary to ensure that the pedestrians are also not inconvenienced during the snowfall.
DC visited Sanjauli, Dhali, Khalini, Chalonthi, Chalonthi Bye Pass, Mall Road and other places in Shimla town this morning and took stock of the situation and gave necessary directions to clear the snow on the pedestrian routes.  
Also supervised the work of making Lakkar Bazar road smooth for traffic.  During this, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ashish Kohli, Additional Superintendent of Police Sushil, Sub Divisional Officer Shimla Urban Manjeet Sharma and other officers were also present.
He said that in other areas of the district also, work is being done to make the roads and connectivity roads smooth through the sub-divisional officers and other local officials. 
Strict instructions have been given to the officers to ensure the supply of daily use items.
