Covid positivity rate mounts up to 6.6 percent in Himachal
Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dr. D R Shandil stated today that the state’s Covid positivity rate mounted 6.6 percent as the state have 1933 active nCoV patients and around 5000 tests are being conducted every day.
Health Minister was interacting with Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya in Video Conference today.
He said that currently there are 1933 Active Cases in the State and Positivity Rate is 6.6 this week.
He said that daily COVID-19 Testing is around 5000 and Hospital Admission Rate is 0.9 percent.
He said that there are sufficient beds, oxygen supply, and an adequate number of Ventilators available in Healthcare facilities throughout the State which can cater to future needs in any exigency.
Himachal Pradesh requested the Government of India regarding the supply of the COVID-19 vaccine to the State so that the precautionary dose shall be administered to the public.
The State Government is regularly monitoring the present situation properly and there is no need to panic as the things are under control as well as sufficient resources available with the State
The government but still the public need to remain vigilant and has been advised to follow COVID Appropriate Behavior.
The state of Himachal Pradesh would ensure that COVID-19 coordination & review meetings at State & District levels shall be conducted on regular basis as per the directions given by MoHFW.
