Congress party should focus on development of the state instead of worrying about what it got from the centre: Kashyap

Former BJP state president and MP Suresh Kashyap said that the central government has always taken full care of Himachal Pradesh in every general budget. Congress party should focus on the development of the state instead of worrying about what it got from the centre.

He said that if we look at the previous budget, the amount of various grants received by the Himachal government from the central government last year was around Rs 23,413 crore, which is not less. But the Congress government should tell what has been the use of that money. The central government started AIIMS Bilaspur in record time and AIIMS was established on 247 acres (99.96 hectares) of land at a cost of Rs 1471 crore, studies were started in IIIT Una, Central University in Dehra, Hydro Engineering College in Bilaspur, construction of a total of 6 new Kendriya Vidyalayas was approved, on March 5, 2024, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 15 NH projects, ropeway project worth about Rs 4000 crore in Dosarka of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. Along with this, projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore will be completed or under construction in Himachal by the end of the year, on which work was done by the central government. Construction of buildings of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Naidun and Saloh has been completed. Construction of Kendriya Vidyalay in Bangana is 50% complete and is almost complete. National Centre for Special Child Training Institute has been established in Una. Central Government has sanctioned medical college in Jol Sappad of Hamirpur, PGI satellite centre in Una, dialysis centre for Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur, Mother Child Hospital in Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Una, trauma centre in Una. Sanctioned amount of Rs. 12 crore for IIM Dhaula Kuan, District Sirmaur has been sanctioned. Sanctioned amount of Rs. 370 crore for Medical College Nahan Bhawan, sanctioned Rs. 6946.99 crore for Renuka Bijli Dam was received from Central Government but Congress Government tried to stop these works. Sanctioned amount for Green Corridor NH 707 Paonta Sahib- Rajvan Shillai Hatkoti is Rs. 1426 crore. Medical Device Park Nalagarh ₹5000 crore cannot be ignored.
