Coldwave intensify in Himachal after snowfall
The Coldwave intensified in Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hrs after fresh spell of snow and rain in the state, the Indian Meterogical department said.
The headquarter of Lahaul Spiti district, Keylong and Udaipur received one cm fresh snowfall thi morning. The gateway of Lahaul Spiti district and 13050 Feet high Rohtang pass, Kunzum pass, Sarchu, Baralacha, Lady of Keylong and Saptarshi , Sachpass and Manimahesh ranges of Chamba and high reaches of Kinnuar and Kullu received fresh spell of snow fall.
Bharmaur ( Chamba ) had 8.2 mm Saluni 6.4 mm Kandaghat ( Solan ) 3.2 mm Chamba three mm Udaipur ( Lahul Spiti ) 2.8 mm, Sundernagar ( Mandi ) 2.3 mm, Dalhousie ( Chamba ) and Hamirpur two mm each Kangra and Shimla 1.5 mm.
Minimum temperature of many places was two to three degrees below the normal as Keylong was minus 1.5 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar minus 0.3 degrees, Manali in Kullu 3.2 degrees, Kuri in Shimla 3.3 degrees, Dalhousie 4.7 degrees, Shimla 6.7 degrees and two degrees down the normal.
Minimum temperature of Chamba was 7.3 degrees, Bhuntar 8.5 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 9.7 degrees, Bilaspur and Solan ten degrees, Kangra 10.7 degrees, Dharmshala and Hamirpur 11 degrees each. Mandi 12 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur and Una 13 degrees respectively.
The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24hrs however rain and snow in few places likely in the state in next 48 hrs again.
