Governor, CM and Deputy CM greets people on Holi

Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla has felicitated the people of the State on the occasion of Holi festival.

Shri Shukla said that Holi, the festival of colours had its own significance and identity and hoped that the festival would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and would go a long way in promoting the unity and integrity of the country.

On the eve of Holi Fest, the Governor and Lady Governor, Janaki Shukla today celebrated the festival of colours with the Raj Bhavan staff. By extending Holi greetings to all the members of the Raj Bhavan family, he also offered sweets.

Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri has extended their greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Holi.

The Chief Minister said that Holi is a festival of colours, which provide an opportunity to strengthen harmony and fraternal bond among the people. Various fairs and festivals were being organized to commemorate this festival. Holi is much more than a festival where colourful faces showcase the Country’s unique trait of ‘Unity in Diversity’.

The Deputy Chief Minister in his felicitation message emphasized the need to preserve our rich cultural and traditional values through festival like Holi.  He said that Holi is one of the main festivals of our country and it is celebrated with fervor and great enthusiasm in India and overseas.
