Chiyog School Leads the Way: Celebrating World Environment Day with Action and Awareness
At Rajkiya Utkrisht Varishtha Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Chiyog, World Environment Day wasn’t just another event—it was a vibrant call to action. On June 5, students and teachers came together to turn awareness into real change, proving that small steps can make a big difference for our planet.
Turning Waste into Worth
This year’s theme, “Waste Management and Segregation,” came alive through engaging activities led by Ashish, Shrey, and their team from the Eco-Science Committee. They didn’t just lecture—they showed students how everyday waste can be transformed. Through hands-on demonstrations, kids learned creative ways to reuse and recycle, turning trash into treasure.
Posters, Rallies, and Green Initiatives
The Eco Club students took creativity to the next level with a poster exhibition, illustrating smart waste disposal techniques. Meanwhile, the NSS squad marched through Chiyog market, rallying the community to join the green movement. Back at school, the campus bloomed as students planted saplings and colorful flowers, adding life to their surroundings.
A Principal’s Plea for the Planet
Principal Shri Sandeep Kumar Sharma didn’t just applaud the efforts—he reminded everyone that “a healthy life starts with a healthy environment.” Thanking the Eco-Science team, he urged the school to keep the momentum going beyond just one day. Eco Club in-charge Mrs. Savneeta Chauhan and NSS in-charge Mrs. Vijayalakshmi echoed his passion, inspiring students to stay committed.
A United Effort
What made the day special? Everyone pitched in—students, teachers, and staff. From planting trees to spreading awareness, the school proved that protecting the environment isn’t a solo mission—it’s a team effort. And in Chiyog, that team is just getting started.
