Chief Minister’s boycott of NITI Aayog is highly condemnable, playing with the interests of Himachal: Bindal
BJP State President Dr Rajiv Bindal while attacking the Chief Minister said that the statement of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu that he will boycott the meeting of NITI Aayog is a harsh blow to the interests of Himachal.
Bindal said that NITI Aayog is the institution in which the decision is taken about the assistance to be given to Himachal in the coming times. In such a situation, the Chief Minister boycotted the meeting of NITI Aayog, and that too when the central government of PM Narendra Modi is continuously providing assistance of thousands of crores of rupees to Himachal Pradesh. He said that the speed with which the work of construction of four lanes, construction of many tunnels, construction of roads and railways and the assistance received in terms of the pension scheme in the state is more than ever. Similarly, just a day ago, our Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in the Parliament that special assistance will be given to Himachal Pradesh in view of the disaster. Earlier, the Modi government at the center also gave 1782 crores in the form of relief to Himachal at different times in the form of disaster relief. 11000 houses for the poor, special assistance of 1000 crores from MNREGA was given. Despite all this, 2000 crores were given for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and now again proposals for about 1000 crores for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana have come to the central government and at such a time, the Chief Minister is doing a harsh job of boycotting the Niti Aayog and harming the interests of Himachal. BJP condemns this and also suggests not to do such things.
