Broken road on Nariga-Jaghed road opened for light vehicles
The Chhalanda-Peeran-Jagher road passing through Junga tehsil was broken at three places due to landslide in Kanchi ahead of Nariga bridge for the last two days. It has been opened for light vehicles on Thursday evening. On Thursday, the Public Works Department had deployed JCB to open this road, but due to the breakage of its pipe, the JCB could not run for about four hours. After bringing the pipe from Dhali, the work has been started with JCB. Let us tell you that the landslide was so severe that the road between two Kanchis has been completely broken at three places. Due to the closure of this road, the route of Peeran and Satlai Panchayat to Solan and other places has been completely closed because the people of these Panchayats often go to Solan to sell their goods, hospital and their cash crops.
Junior Engineer Chhalanda Dhamendra Kumar said that there has been a lot of damage due to road breakage near scissors on Jaghed Road near Nariga Bridge. Which has been opened for light vehicles in the first phase. He said that Janedghat W road has been blocked due to landslide near Phanevati where the road is getting blocked due to repeated landslides. This point will be cleared only when the weather clears. While Chail-Koti-Kufri road has been opened for vehicular movement. He said that the condition of roads has become very pathetic due to heavy rains but the department is opening the closed roads on war footing.
Please note that this road was blocked due to debris at many places including Trahai Nala, Thund Nala. The Public Works Department has opened this road on a war footing.
