BJP leader Randhir Sharma slams Himachal Govt for mismanagement and mafia nexus
Senior BJP leader Randhir Sharma has launched a scathing attack on the Himachal Pradesh government, accusing it of failing in every sector and being heavily influenced by mafias. He alleged that the Chief Minister is shielding key figures involved in mining, land, drug, and forest mafias, allowing their unlawful activities to flourish unchecked.
Sharma criticized the state administration for mismanaging resources, highlighting the High Court’s recent order to attach Himachal Bhawan in Delhi as a glaring failure. He demanded a clear explanation from the Chief Minister instead of shifting blame to the opposition, calling such attempts a blatant evasion of accountability.
The BJP leader also condemned the government’s handling of the tourism sector, citing the High Court’s directive to close 18 hotels operated by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department. He blamed the administration for its inability to make these establishments profitable and questioned if these properties would now be leased to associates of the Chief Minister.
Sharma further accused the government of draining state funds by hiring expensive lawyers to fight CPS-related legal cases. “While the Chief Minister complains about an empty treasury, crores are being wasted to protect his close allies,” he remarked.
He also mocked the government’s decision to control the Chief Minister’s image through official photographs, stating, “True leadership is demonstrated through effective governance, not by superficial measures like photo approvals or petty inquiries.”
Sharma urged the Congress government to prioritize efficient governance, warning that its inefficiency and poor management are tarnishing the state’s reputation.
