AICC forms a six-member coordination panel

All India Congress committee formed a six-member panel that would coordinate between the government and party organization after the crossing of votes in the Rajya Sabha poll and subsequent disqualification of six Congress MLAs.

In a press release issued by the Party general secretary K C Venugopal said that the Congress President has approved the proposal to constitute a coordination committee as follows for better coordination between the Government and the Organisation in Himachal Pradesh, with immediate effect.

Among the members of the committee are Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Party state chief Pratibha Singh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, former party state president Kaul Singh Thakur, Health Minister Dhaniram Shandil, and former minister Ram Lal Thakur.

During recent meetings with State party units and MLAs party central observers including Karnataka Deputy Chief Dr Shivkumar, Former Chief minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Bhagel and Rajiv Shukla handed over a report to AICC blaming party government and party unit responsible for current political crisis and lack of coordination. The central observer had also suggested the party form a coordination panel to resolve the problem of party workers. The Government and party would interact regularly in this panel to ensure the effective functioning of government and strengthen the party.
