74 & 72  percent polling in Chamba & Shimla district

Polling in all 5 assembly seats of Chamba district was completed peacefully on Saturday.  District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner DC Rana said that about 74.02 percent polling has been registered in the district.

 DC Rana said that apart from clear weather, first time voters taking part in the elections this year made a significant contribution in the voting.

 He told that 2 lakh 93 people of the district

 Thousand 352 people exercised their franchise.

 Highest turnout was recorded in Churah Assembly Constituency at 78.29 percent and lowest in Bharmour Assembly Constituency at 70.99 percent.

 The District Election Officer said that voting started in all the assembly constituencies from 8 am today.  Even after 5 pm, polling continued till late due to long queues of voters at many polling stations.

 The District Election Officer said that 73.23 percent voting was recorded in Bhatiyat assembly constituency, 72.50 in Chamba assembly constituency and 75.26 percent in Dalhousie assembly constituency.  A total of 72.05 percent voter turnout has been recorded in Shimla district during the Vidhan Sabha elections-2022. Giving information about this, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi said that in district 60 Chaupal 74.10, in district 61 Theog 74.92, in district 62- Kusumpti 68.20, in district 63 in Shimla urban 62.47, while in district 64. Shimla Rural 73.36, Vis 65 Jubbal Kotkhai 78.14, Vis 66 Rampur 73.22, Vis 67 Rohru 72 percent votes. Aditya Negi said that the elections were conducted peacefully in Shimla district, for which he expressed his gratitude to all.
