4 more bodies recovered from the Shiv Baudi landslide site in Shimla
National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) recovered four more bodies from the Shiv Baudi cloudburst site near Summerhill on the outskirts of this town on Tuesday, now number of death toll went up to 12 in the mishap.
Superintendent of Police Shimla Sanjay Gandhi said that four more bodies were recovered from the debris on Tuesday and nine more are missing under the rubbles.
The deceased are identified as Santosh, Amar, Nisha, Shamika, Shaikha, Harish Mansi, Sanjeev, Amit, Niraj, S. Negi, Avinash Negi, P L Sharma, Rekha Sharma, Suman, Isha Sharma, Smt Kiran, Sorabh.
In another mishap that occurred at Phagli five bodies recovered and six injured were rescued from the debris.
Another mishap occurred at Krishna Nagar near MC Salughther’s house today three to four workers of Salughther’s house were buried under the debris. The entire area before the landslide was vacated before the mishaps saved the life of hundreds of people.
In the past 24 hrs, about 26 people have died in Shimla town.
