32 workers trapped in a major factory fire in Baddi

A major fire ripped through an NR Aroma factory in Baddi, India on Friday afternoon, trapping 32 workers and destroying crores of rupees worth of property.

The fire broke out around 1:30 PM and quickly spread throughout the factory. Firefighters, NDRF, and home guard teams battled the blaze for hours, finally extinguishing it later in the day.

Thankfully, all 32 trapped workers were rescued, with six requiring hospitalization for injuries. Six others were seriously injured and transferred to PGIMR Chandigarh for further treatment.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest the factory management may not have provided complete details about the number of workers on site, making it difficult to determine if everyone has been accounted for.

A police case has been registered and investigations are ongoing.

This incident highlights the importance of fire safety protocols in industrial units and the need for transparent communication from management during emergencies.
