November Feels Like Summer in Himachal as Una Hits 34.2°C

Himachal Pradesh is experiencing an unusually warm start to November, with daytime temperatures staying well above normal across much of the state. Even as winter approaches, bright sunshine is keeping the lower and mid-hill regions warmer than expected.

Una stood out as the hottest place on Tuesday, with the mercury touching 34.2°C. The temperature surpassed the earlier November highs of 33.4°C recorded in 2024 and 33.1°C in 2000, underlining the unusually warm conditions prevailing in the district.

The heat is not limited to Una. Day temperatures in several parts of Himachal are hovering around 2°C above normal, while Shimla, Kangra and Sundernagar have also seen temperatures approach previous November records.

Among the major towns, Mandi recorded 28.6°C, followed by Bilaspur at 28.5°C and Kangra at 28.4°C. Dharamshala registered 26°C, Nahan 25.7°C and Solan 25.4°C. Shimla recorded a comparatively mild 22°C, while Manali settled at 19.6°C.
