2535 Bigha lands to be acquire for Intl Mandi Airport at Balh : CM

 Himachal Pradesh  Government informed the state assembly on Wednesday that state government is yet to acquire the 2535 land for International Airport at Balh in Mandi district. Replying to a written query raised by Congress member Mukesh Agnihotri  chief minister said that land has been selected for construction of Airport and total 2535-01-09 bigha lands are proposed to acquire for the purpose. He said that to set up the green field airport the state government would provide Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013 against the acquisition of private lands. At the time the land of the Rajpath Department would be applicable according to those criteria of the Revenue department. The chief minister said that no compensation of land was provided by the government so far. and DPR is being prepared. The actual cost of the project could be determined after receipt of DPR and correspondence from the Centre on the issue.
