250 different species of plants planted in Junga and Kajewada

Under the joint aegis of the Nari Shakti Village Organization, Junga, the local Panchayat, and the Pahari Samaj Paryavaran Kavach Sansthan, tree plantation was carried out in Junga, Chakhra, and Kajewada on Tuesday. More than 250 medicinal plants, including cedar, amla, date palm, myrobalan, banyan, and reetha, were planted.
Panchayat ward member Yogmaya Sharma said that these saplings were provided by Major Atul Kaushik, director of the Pahari Samaj Paryavaran Kavach organization. She said that trees and plants play a vital role in environmental protection and that everyone should definitely plant trees on their vacant private land during the rainy season.
Major Atul Kaushik urged all the women’s groups of Junga area that the tree plantation programme should be made a mass movement and everyone should participate enthusiastically in this noble work.
In the tree plantation program, Commander Bhupendra Negi of Police Battalion Junga, local Panchayat Pradhan Ramlal, LRP Suman Sood, organization representative Raveena, soldiers of Police Battalion Junga, besides Mamta, Rekha, Kalpana, Deepa, Anita Sharma, Monica, Archana, Rekha Kumari, Manju, Meena, Geeta, Anita Koondel, Kanta, Sheela, Neena, Sunita, Anu, Usha, Kanta Thakur of Nari Shakti Gram Sangathan Junga and a large number of women and local people participated.
