The state government is preparing the basic infrastructure to develop tourism. In this year’s budget, a plan has been made to further develop Kaza and Chandratal in terms of tourism.

ADC Rahul Jain said that when more than 200 people come together in Spiti, the people here also get employment. At the same time, the tourist places of Spiti also get a boost. With the expeditions taking place in winter, now tourism business is being done in Spiti throughout the year. After agriculture, tourism is emerging as the second major source of income for the people. The local administration tries to provide all possible assistance.

Mountain Goat founder Suraj said that season 11 has been very good. Ever since we reached Spiti Valley, snowfall has been continuous. Tourists from all over the country and from Nepal have come to our expedition. Driving with your vehicles in snow is not an easy task. It’s like family to us. Our family is increasing every year. We get continuous support from the state government, tourism department and local administration. We express our gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu that he has encouraged us a lot.
Mountain Goat Expeditions was started in 2015 by the duo of Suraj Tayal and Shashwat Gupta. While Suraj has specialized in Tourism Management from Auckland University, New Zealand, Shashwat has a master’s degree in Marketing from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. This type of motor rally has been organised, which involves both thrill and danger, for which better preparation has been done to all the participants. The organizers said that usually such rallies are organized in the months of May-June, but this rally has been organized in the month of February so that the participants can also enjoy the snowfall. Therefore, participants should take more care of safety and also carry good kit and adequate amount of food items. The eight-day rally had started from Shimla. Adventure tourism will be promoted in the state. The participants will have to pass through many glaciers and icebergs, which is exciting but also full of dangers.
