
Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Organized at Nirankari Bhawan in Rajgarh; 247 Units of Blood Collected
SDM Raj Kumar Thakur Inaugurates the Camp; Youth and Women Set an Inspiring Example of Humanitarian Service
Rajgarh, July 13: Sant Nirankari Mission, Rajgarh, organized a mega voluntary blood donation camp on Sunday at the Nirankari Bhawan premises. Dedicated to the spirit of humanity and selfless service, the camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, women, and people from various sections of society. A total of 247 units of blood were collected, which will prove life-saving for patients in need.
The camp was inaugurated by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rajgarh, Raj Kumar Thakur. Addressing the gathering, he said that voluntary blood donation is one of the greatest acts of humanity, as there is no artificial substitute for blood. He emphasized that timely availability of blood can save countless lives during accidents, major surgeries, serious illnesses, and childbirth-related emergencies. He urged every healthy citizen above the age of 18 to donate blood at regular intervals and fulfill their social responsibility. He also noted that blood donation not only gives a new lease of life to patients but is also considered beneficial for the donor’s health.
The camp witnessed tremendous enthusiasm, with a large number of young people arriving early in the morning to register and donate blood. Women also participated actively, sending a strong message that everyone has an equal role in serving humanity.
Rajgarh volunteer Navdeep Sahni informed that 269 people registered for the camp, including 221 men and 48 women. Before donation, all volunteers underwent mandatory medical screening. During the health check-up, 22 individuals were temporarily deferred from donating blood due to medical reasons, including 6 men and 16 women. After completing all health protocols, 247 units of blood were successfully collected from 217 male and 30 female donors.
Nitesh Sahni, Convener of Sant Nirankari Mission, Rajgarh, expressed gratitude to all blood donors, doctors, the Health Department team, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the success of the camp. He said that Sant Nirankari Mission has been organizing voluntary blood donation camps across the country for many years, considering service to humanity as the highest form of worship. Such initiatives strengthen the spirit of service, cooperation, and compassion while ensuring the availability of blood for patients in need.
He also extended special thanks to SDM Raj Kumar Thakur for inaugurating the camp and encouraging people to participate in voluntary blood donation.
