Congress Calls for Action on Exam Scams, Urges Leaders to Stand with Students

State Congress President Vinay Kumar has asked party leaders across Himachal to take a firm stand on the growing concerns around exam-related scams in the country, including the NEET paper leak and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. Addressing district Congress presidents during a virtual meeting, he stressed the need to treat these issues with seriousness and urgency.

Vinay Kumar urged party leaders to actively raise these matters at the grassroots level—through press interactions, public meetings, and outreach campaigns—so that people across the state are made aware of what he described as a growing injustice toward students and job-seeking youth.

During the meeting, Organization General Secretary Vinod Zinta outlined the party’s next steps, announcing a series of district-level press conferences scheduled for the coming week. He said these efforts are part of a broader campaign to highlight concerns around examination transparency and fairness.

Zinta also referenced the role of senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, noting that he has been consistently raising his voice on issues affecting unemployed youth. These include alleged irregularities in exams like NEET and CBSE, as well as concerns over fairness in recruitment processes. Zinta said the responsibility now lies with party workers at all levels to amplify this message and support the demand for justice.

He further emphasized the importance of engaging with students and academic communities, encouraging district presidents to connect with educators and young people to better understand their concerns and build awareness.

The virtual meeting saw participation from key party figures, including State Congress President Vinay Kumar, Organization General Secretary Vinod Zinta, Vice President Amit Nanda, Political Secretary Vikas Kalta, Pradeep Surya, and district presidents from across the state.

Overall, the discussion reflected the party’s intent to step up its engagement on issues affecting youth, particularly around education and employment, and to position itself as a voice for students facing uncertainty and frustration.
