Manish Sisodia Rallies AAP Workers in Himachal, Accuses Centre of Political Vendetta
On his first visit to Himachal after being released from jail, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Central Government. Addressing party workers in Mandi, he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misusing central agencies like the CBI and ED to stall AAP’s rise, calling the arrests of leaders—including himself, Satyendar Jain, and Arvind Kejriwal—politically motivated.
The gathering drew AAP workers from across the state, where Sisodia urged them to prepare for a decisive electoral battle. He appealed to leaders from other parties to join AAP if they truly cared about Himachal’s development, stressing unity, grassroots mobilisation, and ideological clarity as the way forward.
Recalling the wave of support AAP enjoyed in Himachal four years ago, Sisodia said the party’s governance model in Delhi—especially in education and healthcare—had inspired voters, while AAP’s victory in Punjab under Bhagwant Mann proved growing public trust. He accused both BJP and Congress of failing the state, alleging corruption and lack of progress in jobs, education, and healthcare.
Sharing his own experience of spending 18 months in jail on what he called “false charges,” Sisodia framed his imprisonment as part of a larger struggle against authoritarian politics. “Building good schools, hospitals, and creating jobs is the real measure of patriotism,” he told the crowd, urging workers to focus on long-term goals rather than personal ambitions.
Promising to dedicate more time to Himachal after the Punjab elections, Sisodia said AAP’s mission was to transform the state by improving public services and creating opportunities for youth. “Don’t aim to become MLAs or ministers. Aim to build a better Himachal,” he reminded his supporters.
