Bharat Vikas Parishad North Zone 1’s first regional workers’ conference “Pragati-Path” on 18 January in Palampur
The first regional workers’ conference of Bharat Vikas Parishad North Zone 1, “Pragati-Path,” is going to be held on January 18, 2026 (Sunday) in the Agricultural University auditorium in Palampur, in which workers from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Chandigarh will participate. A special meeting of the organizing committee of this conference was held under the chairmanship of North Zone 1 President Sushil Sharma, in which conveners, co-conveners and other responsible persons of all the committees were present.
Giving information about the conference, Sushil Sharma said that around 800 participants from more than 200 branches of eight provinces of Bharat Vikas Parishad will participate in this workers’ conference, in which the workers will get guidance from National General Secretary Durga Dutt Sharma and National Coordinator Sanskar Mukesh Jain along with other dignitaries.
The convener of the conference, Manoj Ratna, said that this first workers’ conference, being organised under the hospitality of Himachal Pradesh West Province, will give further impetus to the work of Bharat Vikas Parishad in this region and all the workers will contribute to the work of nation building with new energy and enthusiasm. He said that in order to make this occasion memorable, a colourful souvenir “Pragati-Path” is being published by the organising province which will reach the members of every branch of North Zone 1.
He explained that the Bharat Vikas Parishad is a non-political, cultural, and social organization dedicated to serving the nation since 1963, serving public welfare and national interests through its 1,600 branches across the country. Through its five principles of contact, cooperation, culture, service, and dedication, the Bharat Vikas Parishad is committed to India’s all-round development. Through its workers, the Parishad’s various branches organize the “National Chorus Competition” to instill patriotism in schoolchildren and the “Know India” quiz competition to instill pride and self-respect for the nation. The Parishad is also working on social harmony, environmental protection, and women’s participation through numerous projects. Most of its branches also conduct numerous drug eradication awareness programs, encouraging youth to stay away from drugs.
During this, Dr. Virendra Kaul, President of Himachal Pradesh West Province said that it is the good fortune of all the workers of Himachal Pradesh West Province that the province has got the responsibility of hosting this conference. He expressed confidence that all the participants taking part in this conference will take sweet memories from here. During this, Conference Coordinator Arun Kumar, Provincial General Secretary Anil Gurung, Finance Secretary Pradeep Sood, Sudarshan Vasudeva, Kumud Mehta, Jitendra Bunta, Sameer Sood, Shakti Chand Rana, D R Thakur, Adhiraj Sood, Ravinder Dhiman, Pritam Bharti, Anuj, Dr. Ripan Sood, Kewal Kaushal, Kushal Katoch and Anoop Sharma were present.
