BJP to Hold Massive Protest in Dharamshala on Dec 4 Against Three Years of Congress Misrule: Sanjeev Katwal
BJP State General Secretary Sanjeev Katwal, while reviewing the arrangements at Agarwal Dharamshala in Jawalamukhi, stated that on completion of three years of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party will organize a massive protest against its failures, corruption and anti-people policies on December 4, 2025, at Joravar Stadium, Dharamshala.
He informed that the protest will be held under the leadership of BJP State In-charge Shrikant Sharma, Co In-charge Sanjay Tandon, State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur. Thousands of BJP workers from across the state will reach Dharamshala in hundreds of vehicles and will gherao the Congress government during the ongoing Assembly session.
Katwal termed the present Congress government as the most inefficient and directionless government in the history of Himachal Pradesh. Recalling a statement of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh, he said that even Virbhadra Singh had warned that if power goes into the hands of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, darkness will prevail in the state — a prediction that has now clearly come true.
He alleged that during the Dehra by-election, the Model Code of Conduct was blatantly violated and in order to ensure the victory of the Chief Minister’s wife, women’s self-help groups were given ₹50,000 each, which is a direct assault on democratic values.
Katwal stated that the liquor policy of the Congress government has completely failed, causing a loss of crores of rupees to the state exchequer. Development works worth thousands of crores have been stalled, bringing the growth of the state to a standstill and leaving the public deeply disappointed.
He further said that the state has crossed a debt burden of over ₹40,000 crore, making every citizen of Himachal Pradesh a debtor. Thousands of apple trees have been cut, yet the Congress government failed to raise the voice of orchardists strongly and protect their interests.
Sanjeev Katwal asserted that the BJP will expose every failure of this anti-people Congress government before the public, and the massive protest at Dharamshala will reflect the growing public anger against the ruling dispensation.
