School children took out a rally to save the environment in the tourist spot Kufri
World Environment Day was celebrated in Government Senior Secondary School, Kufri, courtesy of Blue Pine Eco Club. Eco Club members took out a rally from Kufri market, taxi stand, Maa Bhimakali temple complex and collected plastic waste. During the rally, taxi union members, tourists and youth were made aware about the harm caused by plastic. Principal Naresh Kumar said that this year the theme of Environment Day is Beat Plastic Pollution, about which people were made aware of the harm and harmful effects of plastic. The main support in this was from Ajay, Gayatri Sharma from Waste Warrior Society Mashobra, Forest Guard Akshat Thakur from Water Catchment Area, Forest Incharge Vikas Negi, Eco Science Foundation founder Ashish Patial and Shrey Gupta.
On this occasion, School Eco Club in-charge Lata Sharma, Sarita Sharma, Kiran Mehta, Kiran Thakur, Jeet Ram, Ranveer, Satish Kumar Banstu, Monica, Sarika, Dinesh Sharma, Dharmendra Kalia, Virendra Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Kishore Sharma also participated in the program.
