Himachal Tourism Gears Up for Corporate Boost: HPTDC Joins Hands with PSUs and Banks

In a fresh push to strengthen tourism in the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) is reaching out to corporate giants, aiming to create customized travel experiences for employees of public sector units (PSUs) and banks.

As part of this initiative, HPTDC held a high-level meeting on Tuesday at Himachal Bhawan in New Delhi, engaging with senior officials from leading public sector banks. The focus was to explore collaboration opportunities and work towards signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that would offer tailor-made travel packages for corporate employees.

The meeting showcased a detailed presentation of HPTDC’s vast hospitality network, including its wide range of hotels—from luxury resorts to budget-friendly accommodations—and adventure tourism options spread across the state.

Among the attendees were key representatives from Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, UCO Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India, and Oil India Ltd. The HPTDC team was led by Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty, Managing Director Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and General Manager Anil Taneja.

The bank officials showed keen interest in the proposal, acknowledging the value of exclusive, cost-effective travel benefits for their workforce. These partnerships are expected to give a fresh boost to corporate tourism in Himachal, offering a unique blend of work and leisure in one of India’s most scenic states.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to fast-track discussions to formalize these partnerships. HPTDC reaffirmed its commitment to building strong ties with corporate entities as it gears up for the upcoming tourist season, promising memorable experiences against the backdrop of Himachal’s natural beauty.
