Vinay Kumar Hails Sukhu’s Commitment to Himachal
Describing the Kishau Dam agreement as historic, he said that this agreement will prove to be an important step towards making the state self-reliant. This agreement will generate an annual income of ₹1,200 crore for the state and also ensure employment for thousands of youth.
Vinay Kumar, giving full credit for this project to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, said that while the previous BJP government failed to make any meaningful decisions on this project during its tenure, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, with his political acumen, eliminated the state’s share of the project’s cost and ensured an annual revenue of ₹1,200 crore after the project’s completion. This is a historic achievement for the state, for which the Chief Minister deserves congratulations.
Vinay Kumar criticized former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, saying that he devastated the state’s economy during his tenure. He bequeathed a debt of over 70,000 crore rupees and employee liabilities of over 12,000 crore rupees to the Congress government.
Vinay Kumar said that in the interest of the state, BJP leaders should pressure their central leaders to reinstate the RDG. He said that the closure of the RDG will hamper the pace of development in the state and the BJP will be solely responsible for this.
