Yellow Alert in Himachal: Heavy Rainfall and Strong Winds Expected

A yellow alert has been issued for Himachal Pradesh for the next four days, with heavy rainfall expected in most parts of the state on June 28 and 29.

The weather is forecasted to remain unfavorable in the middle and high mountain areas of Kinnaur, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kullu, and Chamba. In the plains of Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, and Kangra, adverse weather is expected from Thursday until July 1.

In addition to heavy rain, strong winds are anticipated on June 28 and 29. The monsoon is likely to enter the state during this period. Several areas in the Hamirpur district experienced rainfall. Sunny weather in the plains has led to a rise in maximum temperatures, with Una recording a high of 41.4 degrees Celsius. In the capital Shimla, clouds and sunshine alternated, and the weather remained mixed in other parts of the state.

The minimum temperatures recorded were: 18.2 degrees Celsius in Shimla, 19.3 in Sundernagar, 18.9 in Bhuntar, 13.6 in Kalpa, 22.4 in Dharamshala, 25.8 in Una, 24.4 in Nahan, 9.3 in Keylong, 20.2 in Solan, 13.6 in Manali, 24.0 in Kangra, 21.2 in Mandi, 24.1 in Bilaspur, 23.8 in Hamirpur, 20.5 in Chamba, 25.4 in Dhaula Kuan, 14.1 in Kasauli, 25.0 in Paonta Sahib, and 28.0 in Dehra Gopipur.
