X-ray machine will go to the field to check TB disease : Dr Manoj
A workshop was organized at Civil Hospital Junga on Tuesday regarding the 100-day program of tuberculosis eradication being run by the Himachal Pradesh government. Medical Officer of PHC Trahai Dr. Ishan, CHO and ASHA workers from various centers participated in the workshop. Medical Officer in charge of the hospital Dr. Manoj Verma while presiding over the program said that a target has been set to collect more than 600 sputum and sputum samples from the areas under Civil Hospital Junga. For which ASHA workers and departmental staff are being sent to the field who will go door to door and collect sputum and sputum samples. He said that the state government has started a 100-day tuberculosis eradication program on December 7. Under which people are being made aware about the symptoms of tuberculosis and the programs being run by the government for the eradication of this disease. He said that the department will take X-ray machines to the field for chest examination in remote areas.
Dr. Manoj Verma said that if a person is suffering from cough, fever for more than two weeks or is losing weight, blood in sputum, sweating etc. then it is mandatory for such a person to get tested in the nearest health institution. He said that all the facilities are available in Junga for testing the symptoms of TB disease. He said that apart from sputum and blood tests, chest X-rays etc. are also being done in the hospital.
Dr Manoj said that in addition to the tuberculosis eradication program, people’s blood pressure, sugar and blood i.e. anemia will be tested in the field under the NCD program.
