Union Budget is disappointing, Interests of the hill states ignored
State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh has termed the Union Budget as disappointing and said that the interests of the hill states, especially Himachal, have been completely ignored in the budget.
Giving her reaction on the budget, Pratibha Singh said that the central government has not given any financial support to the state to deal with the natural disaster in the state nor has it given any new development plan to the state in the upcoming budget. There is no relief for the apple orchardists and farmers of the state in this budget. There has been discrimination against Congress ruled states in the budget while Bihar has been given prominence in the budget in view of the assembly elections.
Describing the budget as totally anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-gardener and anti-employee, he said that the country is extremely disappointed with the budget.
