BJP state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna said that this time’s Union Budget is the best from the point of view of overall development.

This time the general budget is going to emphasize on the expansion of agriculture, education, tourism and health facilities, in this budget priority has been given to the development of youth, women, poor and villages.

He said that the budget has been prepared keeping in mind the seven features, which include emphasis on holistic and inclusive development, efforts to reach the last person in the society, infrastructure development and investment, encouragement on unlocking the potential, complete focus on green development of the country. The focus has been on harnessing the energy of youth power and boosting the financial sector.

The central government has made a budget provision of 2.4 lakh crores in the railways, this is the biggest railway budget till date.

I would like to thank the Central Government that a provision of 1000 crores has been made for Bhanupalli Bilaspur Leh Rail Project, 450 crores for Chandigarh Baddi and 452 crores for Nangal Talwara Rail Line.

A provision of Rs 870 crore has also been made for the hydrogen train on the Kalka-Shimla railway.

An additional fund of 75,000 crore has also been made for new schemes in the country.

The work of recognizing 100 new schemes of the private sector has been started, 500 crores for passenger facilities in metro and rail projects, 12479 crores for pollution-free technology i.e. Sovern Green Fund and 1 lakh 4830 thousand crores for salary and allowances of the employees. A big tax relief has been provided to the common man, now no tax will be levied on income up to 7 lakhs.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana, free ration will be provided for the next 1 year.

Sports budget increased by 400 crores and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana budget increased by 66%.

If the budget is seen sector-wise, according to the ministry, Agriculture 1.25 lakh crore, Home Affairs 1.96 lakh crore, Defense 5.94 lakh crore, Road Transport and Highway 2.70 lakh crore, Education 1.12 lakh crore, Rural Development 1.60 lakh crore and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution 2.06 lakh crore has been given
