Truck union respond to cut down of Diesel price

In response to reduction in excise duty on the diesel by the centre GovermentSirmour Truck Operators Union and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Paonta Sahib have cut down the freight charges with effect from today onwards.  

A press release has also been issued from the Chamber of Commerce said that union has reduced the fare by seven rupees per kilometer as new reduced fare will be applicable from Monday, November 8.

Due to the continuous steep increase in the diesel prices last month, the union had also increased the freight charges  by three rupees per kilometer.

This caused massive suffering to Industrialist and local  business as truck union had  levying additional charges up to a maximum of 12 thousand rupees for transport of consignment from the district . 
 Earlier to this freight charges from Paonta Sahib to Bangalore was being charged 1.10 lakh recently gone up  to 1.17 lakhm

 Similarly, instead of Rs 55350 in Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Rs 59250 was now being charged. 
 The fare in Mumbai had increased by about Rs 5000.
  The fare of Delhi was increased from Rs 18250 to Rs 19100.  At the same time, it was increased from 70300 to 82400 rupees of Calcutta.  Which will decrease now.

 With implementation of new charges it would save up to 25 thousand per round.  

 In Paonta Sahib, where all the finished goods of industries go to various part of the country, the raw material is brought to Paonta have registered About 2 thousand trucks and trolleys run under the union.

 Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Satish Goyal and Sirmour Truck Operators Union President Sardar Baljit Singh Nagra told that industrialists and unions has decided to cut down the charges today onwards.
