Transformative Tales of Hope and Renewal Unfold at ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ Program of Himachal Government

Shiv Charan, a beneficiary of the Special Disaster Relief Package, shared a poignant account at the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ program in Panjoa, expressing profound gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the pivotal role of government intervention in his family’s survival. Shiv Charan emotionally conveyed that a devastating calamity had befallen his family, leaving everything in ruins. His poignant acknowledgment underscored that without the timely support from the government, they would not have survived, emphasizing the crucial lifeline provided during their darkest hour.

Bal Kishan, echoing a similar sentiment, conveyed the challenges his family faced post-disaster and thanked to the State Government for all the assistance. He said that the Government has provided him the financial assistance of Rs. 3 lakh though the Revenue Department, kickstarting the reconstruction of his home devastated due to nature’s wrath during the recent monsoon.

 Sukhdev Singh and Jaspal Singh added their voices to the chorus of gratitude, acknowledging the government’s swift resolution of their mutation case through a special revenue court. Many other people have also benefitted from this initiative of government, they added. 

The beneficiaries of the Sukh-Ashraya Yojana, Samiksha Bhatia, and Abhishek shared their stories of positive transformation. Samiksha, now pursuing an LLB, and Abhishek pursuing a B-Pharma with support from the Women and Child Development Department, expressed their newfound happiness. They said that this initiative of the state government has played a big role in alleviating worries and transforming their lives. Abhishek said that before this scheme was introduced he was so lonely and helpless and was also worried about his sister’s future but now he is carefree as the government is taking care of their needs.    

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Sing Sukhu, in response, emphasized the government’s commitment to holistic welfare, detailing the provisions of the Sukh-Ashraya Yojana, showcasing a vision of compassionate governance and societal upliftment.
