Training camp organized on zero cost natural farming for the people of Duradraj area Paudakothi
The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of Mandi District’s Sundarnagar Development Division organized a two-day training camp on natural farming under the Happy Farmer Scheme at Mananu village in Gram Panchayat Poudakothi. This event, part of the Subhash Natural Farming Scheme, provided detailed information on various components of natural farming.
Technical Manager Lekhraj and Assistant Technical Manager Yograj from Sundarnagar Agricultural Development Division demonstrated the use of natural farming components to the farmers, including Bijamrit, Ghanjivamrit, Jivamrit, Drakastra, Brahmastra, Firearms, and Seven Grains Extract. They also taught farmers how to use sour lassi to protect their crops from diseases.
Lekhraj mentioned that around 35 farmers from Gram Panchayat Poudakothi participated in the camp. He emphasized that such activities aim to educate the entire farming community about the benefits of natural farming.
Benefits of Zero-Cost Natural Farming:
Improved Quality of Produce: He highlighted that zero-cost natural farming enhances the quality of produce by avoiding chemical fertilizers and pesticides. This method uses only natural inputs, making the crops free from harmful chemicals and safe for consumption.
Good Yield and More Profit at Lower Cost: Lekhraj explained that zero-cost natural farming eliminates the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Farmers use their own manure, resulting in good yields at a lower cost.
