Narayan Verma demands immediate arrest of Patwari, Kanungo attackers

The Himachal Pradesh Revenue Officers Federation strongly condemned the deadly attack on a Patwari and a Kanungo while they were carrying out government work in Kais, Kullu district, yesterday. In a joint statement, the Federation’s State President Narayan Singh Verma, General Secretary Vipin Verma, and Press Secretary Hemraj Sharma demanded the government arrest those responsible for the deadly attack. They noted that similar incidents have previously occurred involving Patwaris and Kanungos of the Revenue Department in Chamba and Rewalsar, Mandi district. They stated that the repeated incidents of such incidents involving Revenue Department employees are a matter of concern and concern. The government should seriously consider this matter. They stated that the Himachal Pradesh Revenue Officers Federation stands firmly in support of the Patwaris and Kanungos.
The Federation’s state president, Narayan Singh Verma, stated that field work such as demarcation and partition of land is extremely sensitive. Revenue employees often have to go to the field without any security to perform land-related tasks. During this time, people often become violent when the partition or demarcation fails in their favor and begin fighting with the employees. The Federation has demanded that the government provide security to revenue employees during field work such as demarcation or partition to prevent such incidents.
