The Chief Minister addressed public meetings in Pastal, Kuthera and Patlandar late on Tuesday evening. He said that the sellable MLA should be taught a lesson, they do not want a Chief Minister from their home, so he was the main mastermind behind the attempt to topple the government. Now he is contesting elections again and is making all kinds of efforts to win. He is distributing a lot of money, if he tries to give it to you, take double and vote for Congress. Hamirpur district and lower Himachal have got a Chief Minister from Congress for the first time. The people of Sujanpur have made a big mistake by losing the Chief Minister once. This election is not about the Chief Minister’s chair or the government, it is between the dishonest and the honest. This election is also being held to save democracy and the power of the vote. The people of Sujanpur should vote for the honest Captain Ranjit. Even the honest workers of BJP will not vote for the sellable Rana.
The Chief Minister said that the sellouts should not be allowed to stay, because this election will decide the condition and direction of future politics. After the election results came on June 4, no elected MLA and BJP could muster the courage to indulge in horse-trading. Congress government has been in power in the state for three and a half years, along with Captain Ranjit, I will also work for you as an MLA. Right now it is election time, I will come again later and no stone will be left unturned in the development of the area. In 15 months, our government has done public welfare work in the state. In the first cabinet, OPS was given, women were given pension of Rs 1500, to stop which BJP and Jairam Thakur have tried very hard. If permission is granted, then within 48 hours, Rs 3000 will be credited to the accounts of all the eligible women who have submitted the form. If permission is not granted by the Commission, the entire amount including arrears will be given in June.
Sukhwinder Singh said that Rajendra Rana has become blind in personal interest, he is not concerned about public works but about getting environment clearance for crusher and building roads for hotels. Those who are not public servants but money-sellers need to be shown the way out of politics. Anurag Thakur, MP of this area, also did not stand with the affected people during the time of disaster. Being a central minister, he could not get the area developed, so on June 1, vote in favour of Lok Sabha candidate Satpal Raizada.
