The attitude of the government and administration in Bilaspur is unfortunate: Nanda

BJP’s media in-charge Karan Nanda said that the way the police and administration behaved towards the elected representatives in Bilaspur is highly condemnable. The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns the police administration’s lathi charge and violent attitude towards elected MLAs, Zilla Parishad members and BDC members.

He said that if any public representative or public is trying to raise their voice for their demands and is sitting on strike for a long time, then their voice should not be suppressed but should be heard. Senior BJP leader Randhir Sharma, who is also the MLA from Naina Devi, was leading this delegation and was trying to reach the public voice to the administration, but the administration was not ready to listen. This tough stance of the government is not right, the entire Himachal Pradesh is condemning the government on this issue today.

He said that the construction of Kikar-Navgaon drinking water scheme being built on Ali Khad in Triveni Ghat located on Bilaspur-Solan border has now become a question of life and death for the people of Bilaspur. The government should understand this pain. The administration is serious about the matter after the violence. The people of Bilaspur are continuously opposing the construction of this scheme.

Many drinking water and irrigation schemes are already running on Ali Khad. Due to this the water level of the ravine has decreased. Now, by lifting 10 lakh liters of water every day for the under construction scheme, the ravine will dry up. But even after 20 days of agitation, the public was not heard. The situation worsened when the construction of this scheme was not stopped even after two Mahapanchayats and opposition from Congress and BJP leaders related to Bilaspur.
