Terrorist act in Pahalgam is a direct attack on the unity and integrity of the country : Naresh Chauhan
Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 26 tourists by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir last Tuesday. Talking to journalists here today, he said that due to this tragic incident, there is an atmosphere of fear and sadness in the whole country and in view of such a horrific situation, a heavy alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh as well.
Chauhan said that for the last two years tourism activities were on a large scale in Kashmir and according to one figure, the number of tourists visiting there was 2.33 crores but this incident has given a big blow to tourism in Kashmir.
He said that although yesterday a program of Save Constitution demonstration was scheduled by the Congress party, but due to the incident in Kashmir we had to postpone this program because at this time the whole country is in shock and our party shares the grief of the families of those killed in this incident. He said that the way the terrorists fired bullets on unarmed tourists and killed them brutally is very reprehensible, which the Congress party condemns in strong words. He said that our party stands with the central government and now there is a need to deal strictly with the external forces so that such an incident does not happen again in the country.
Quoting the statement of All India Congress Party’s National President Mallikarjun Kharge, he said that in this hour of crisis, our party is standing with the Central Government showing solidarity and we support the government. He said that this terrorist attack in Pahalgam is a direct attack on the unity and integrity of India. He has urged the Central Government to eliminate the terrorists with full force.
