Teachers should be appointed in Cheekhar school soon: Dr. Tanwar

Despite the closure of numerous schools, the Government Primary School Cheekhar in Gram Panchayat Satlai of Mashobra Block has been running with the help of a single teacher for the last five years who is teaching a total of 58 children of this school from first to fifth class, due to which the future of the children has become dark. The poor system of the education department and the claims of the government to provide quality education are proving to be hollow. The State President of Himachal Pradesh Kisan Sabha, Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar, taking strict cognizance, has urged the Education Department to appoint teachers in this school as soon as possible keeping in mind the future of the children, otherwise the Kisan Sabha will not hesitate even in staging a dharna.
Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar informed that on the request of the School Management Committee, he visited Cheekar School and the SMC members informed him that the SMC had met the MLA of Kasampanti Vidhan Sabha and Cabinet Minister in the State Government Aniruddh Singh several times in the last two years regarding this problem but every time nothing was received except assurances. Dr. Tanwar expressed surprise and said that providing education to 58 children by one teacher is a bad joke with the future of the children. It is very difficult for one teacher to teach five classes and in such a situation the bright future of the children cannot even be imagined. He assured the local people that the Kisan Sabha will soon meet the Director of Education Department and the Education Minister regarding this problem and if even after that the teacher is not appointed then the Kisan Sabha will not hesitate to protest against the poor system of the department.
When Block Primary Education Officer Mashobra Sunita Kanwar was talked to about this, she told that a teacher was appointed twice in this school but he was not joined. The matter has been raised before the higher authorities regarding the shortage of teachers in this school.
