SV & ACB catch Himachal Waqf Board state Officer red handed taking bribe

State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau Shimla sleuth today nabbed estate Waqf Board  Shimla estate Officer Sadiq Mohd while taking bribe of Rs 80,000 on the complaint of a victim at DC office Shimla. According to SV& ACB Officer Sadiq was demanding Rs 1.25 lakh bribe for renewal of lease of a  Waqf property at lower bazar. Shimla.  Rs 25000 were already paid to the accused and he was seeking Rs one lakh more. The accused did not renewed the lease and taking documents of lease in his possession. He was caught red handed when complainant was handled over Rs 80k to him . The Vigilance has put web on the accused officers and as he took money he was immediately nabbed by the SV& ACB team. Now he was being interrogated for the further involvement in similar crime.. Accused was being booked under section -7 Prohibition of Corruption Act 2018 .
