Students in Chiyog were made aware about proper disposal of e-waste

The Gulmohar Eco Club organized an awareness program and an inter-house quiz competition on the proper disposal of electronic waste (e-waste) at the Government Senior Secondary School of Excellence. Students were informed about the environmental impacts of e-waste and how to safely dispose of it.
Special speaker Babita Sharma highlighted the importance of proper e-waste management. Students Sneha, Sejal, Ruchika, and Sameeksha also shared their thoughts and advocated for the proper disposal of electronic waste.
He explained that defective LED bulbs, tubelights, old mobile phones, chargers, and batteries should not be thrown away with general waste. The electronic components and harmful substances they contain can harm the environment. Such waste should be disposed of at designated e-waste collection centers or through authorized collection systems.
Gandhi House won first place in the inter-house quiz competition held as part of the program. School Principal Sandeep Sharma congratulated the winning house and all the speakers. He said that such activities help raise awareness among students about environmental protection and develop a sense of responsible citizenship.
