Spl judge convict electricity board JE under PC Act

Special Judge  Shimla convicted one Junior Engineer of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board under prevention of Corruption Act for taking bribe from the complaint. Spl judge (Prevention of Corruption act) Shimla convicted an accused   Dhani Ram Bragta for the commission of offenses punishable under section 7 & 13 of corruption Act.  Ld.  The court has imposed sentence of 02 Years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.10, 000 / – in each section.  In the year of 2012 , the field executive of Proton Infratel Pvt .  Ltd.  Delhi had given a complaint in SV & ACB , Shimla that they have applied for estimate of Bharti Air – Tel tower in Chopal area .  But the JE of HPSEB Sh.  Dhani Ram Bragta has demanded a bribe of Rs.  25,000 / – to provide the estimates .  On this complaint Case FIR No.04 / 12 dated 30.04.2012 U / S 7 & 13 ( 2 ) PC Act was registered at Police Station SV & ACB , Shimla .  The trial was conducted by Sh.  Sandeep Attri , District Attorney , SV & ACB , Shimla .
