State Congress President, and former MP Pratibha Singh called upon the party workers to move ahead in unity and said that they do not need to be disheartened in any way. She said that the party had to face defeat in the Mandi district, which was very painful, but they had to learn a lesson from it and move ahead. She said that the elections of Gram Panchayats and Municipal bodies are to be held soon. Everyone has to get ready for it from now on. She said that she wants that in these elections hardworking leaders and workers should be brought forward, who have not got any opportunity or post in the party till now. For this, instead of it being yours and mine, those who can win will have to be brought forward.
Pratibha Singh has said that the State Congress Committee, along with the District and Block Congress Committees, will soon be announced. She said that in the new executive, full attention will be given to hardworking people and those who can give time to the party.
While chairing the Congress workers’ conference of Mandi Sadar, Balh, Saraj Drang and Joginder Nagar blocks in Mandi today, Pratibha Singh said that if the organization is strong then the Congress government of the state will also be strong. She said that the Congress government is doing better work and they have to take this work and the achievements of the government to the public. She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is giving full priority to the works of public interest. Criticizing the BJP, she said that they only did politics in the name of development, whereas the present government helped the people in every possible way during the natural disaster in the state. No obstacle was allowed in the development of the state. She said that to compensate for the loss suffered by the state due to the disaster, the government has not been able to start some of its work on time. She said that the Congress government is fulfilling all its promises in a phased manner. She said that the BJP government at the Center is not giving any financial help to the state. He said that the way the party leaders and workers helped the disaster-affected people during the disaster is highly praiseworthy.
He said that important responsibilities will be given to hard-working party workers, youth, and women including senior leaders in the organization.
Pratibha Singh supported the views of the party workers in the meeting and assured them that she was trying her best to fulfill their expectations of her. She said that people still remember the development work of former Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh. She said that she can never forget the love and trust people have for her. She said that today’s meeting is just the beginning and soon she will directly communicate with party workers in all blocks of all districts of the state.
Before this, former state minister Prakash Chaudhary, former MLA Surendra Pal, Congress leader Champa Thakur, Chetram Thakur, and many other leaders and workers also addressed the meeting.
The speakers remembered former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and said that he will always be remembered for his remarkable contribution to the state. He said that all the leading organizations of the Congress party are very strong in the state and the Congress is moving ahead in full coordination with the government.
