Shimla Police registered 20 cases and arrested 31 Drug peddlers in July

District Shimla Police is constantly striving against Drug peddlers, we are very much focused consistently on these activities. In the month of July, Shimla Police registered 20 cases & Arrested 31 persons in the last 15 Days. Out of these Arrested peddlers, 10 are inter-state Suppliers 7 from Punjab 3 from  Haryana/ Delhi.

To date in the last 6 months, 450 peddlers have been arrested. Recently Competent Authority has confirmed the order of freezing the movable property of Dinesh Verma alias Gillespie of Theog where 2 vehicles have been seized as per the order worth Rs 7,43,720/-.

Shimla Police have started an investigation against such users also who have become incorrigible, to hit the demand cycle Police will keep watch on such users also who have not shown any signs of improvement.

Drug-related overdose incidents of deaths have also decreased in the last 4 months which is an indicator of decreased availability of Heroin or such derivatives which were quite rampant.

Despite the Police being busy in rescue & disaster management our focus on such vulnerable causes of drug spread is consistent.
