Shimla MC a den of corruption – would focus to rid of corrupt officials, middlemen & contractors if voted into power: AAP

Aam Aadmi Party has declared 21 candidates for Shimla Municipal Corporation Election today. AAP announced to provide major relief to residents and unburden them from exorbitant bills besides ensuring a round-the-clock water supply.

Party leader J D Chauhan told us today that the party would give its vision document for Shimla town soon as the party made the Shimla Election triangular contest by putting 21 candidates in the fray.

Listing the issues likely to be raised in the Shimla MC poll Mr. Chauhan said AAP would continue to tread on its motto of providing corruption-free Governance in the state capital town.

Stating Shimla MC as a den of corruption during BJP and Congress rule Mr. Chauhan said that Corruption free Municipal Corporation would be the main slogan of the party it would focus to rid of corrupt officials middlemen and contractors if voted into power.

Party often being accused by other Political parties especially BJP to provide free bees to people stating that water is another big issue apart from making drinking pure water arrangements it would provide 24 hours water supply in Shimla Municipal Corporation. AAP would reduce water.

Charges of  Garbage would be fixed according to the unit and arrangements will be made to keep it minimum.

To bring back the inefficient grievances redressal system of civic bodies on the track party said that it would ensure one stop for every service as a Single window system and online service will be introduced for all work.

 To ensure the safety of women, arrangements would be made for free training in self-defense and the establishment of the Wellness Center. CCTV Cameras are to be installed on the line of Delhi to provide security for every woman as CCTV should be installed in every ward.

To get rid of the town’s daily mess of traffic congestion Mr. Chauhan said that it would focus on parking arrangements every ward would be provided parking to park the vehicles. 

To end the encroachment on the street party would identify proper space to arrange for street vendors.

The town should be made free from the mess of wires and overhead cables and all power and other wires or cables will be made underground by making ducts. 

Streetlights would be arranged on every road and lane. Party also assured us to pass a number of pending maps as soon as possible. 

Every public toilet to offer free services and footpaths shall be provided for pedestrians along every road. It also envisions opening up a public library in every ward for reading and writing. 

Party also assured the collection of blood samples at the doorstep of patients in the town to offer them modern Medical facilities.

 The party has shortlisted candidates who have good Educational qualifications and an honest public image in public life.
