Shimla city’s water becomes expensive, Congress government’s gift of inflation to the city: Bihari
BJP State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma said that on April 6, BJP will celebrate its foundation day at every booth in which every booth owner will organize this program at his booth through the booth president, Bharatiya Janata Party workers will wave the flag at every house. The entire state will be saffronized and during this time contact will also be made with the beneficiaries.
BJP State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, while opening a front against the present Congress government, said that the government which was talking about providing relief has made the water of Shimla city expensive. After the increase in garbage charges and property tax rates in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, the city residents have got another shock. Drinking water has also become expensive in Shimla city. The Congress government is only a government which troubles the people.
The government has approved the company’s proposal to increase water rates in the city by 10 percent. What is the need to increase water rates instead of providing free water is beyond comprehension. Consumers will start receiving water bills from Thursday.
He said that on Tuesday, Urban MLA Harish Janartha had talked to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu regarding water bills in the city. The MLA had demanded not to increase water rates. It has once again become clear that the present Chief Minister does not listen to his MLAs and now he is not even listening to the Shimla Urban MLA.
Due to this decision, 35 thousand consumers of Shimla city will be affected. Due to cost of water in the capital, 35 thousand drinking water consumers of the city will be affected. There are a total of 25 thousand domestic and about 10 thousand commercial and construction consumers in the city. Now they will have to pay higher water bills.
