Seminar on National Education Policy, 2020 concluded at Sunni Degree College
A national seminar on National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Education Policy, 2020 was organized at Sunni College under the joint aegis of Government College Chail-Koti and Government College Sunni. This seminar was held in two sessions. In the first session, the former Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, and former Chairman of the Higher Education Council Dr. Sunil Gupta participated as the chief guest. In his lecture, he discussed important points related to NAAC assessment and also said in the context of National Education Policy, 2020 that this education policy should not be implemented without preparation. The basic objective of the policy will be fulfilled only when the government works together with the educationists and all the departments related to it will work in this direction.
On this occasion, the keynote speaker Dr. Neeru Snehi was connected online from NIEPA’s Higher Education Department, Delhi. She discussed the National Education Policy, 2020 in great detail and briefly. In this session, apart from Sunni Mahavidyalaya’s Principal Dr. RL Sharma and Chail-Koti Mahavidyalaya’s Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj, Dr. Pankaj Basotiya Principal Rampur College, Dr. Rajesh Dhaurta Principal Kumarsain College, Dr. Mauli Ibrahim Principal St. Beads College, all the professors of both the colleges and Sunni Mahavidyalaya’s NSS and Scout and Guides students were also present.
In the second session, Dr. Harish Thakur (Head of Department, Department of Political Science, HPU) played the role of keynote speaker and chief guest. Dr. Gopal Sanghaik and Manisha Kohli from the Directorate of Higher Education, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh not only marked their presence but also presented important aspects related to NAAC and National Education Policy, 2020 to the people present. Dr. Dharmendra Mehta from Mahavidyalaya Sunni and Dr. Devendra Sharma from Chail-Koti Mahavidyalaya benefited all the intellectuals present with their views. This seminar was a successful seminar with some important suggestions with a view to implement the National Education Policy, 2020.
