Schools & offices in SMC to remain close on Feb 5 :DC Shimla
After heavy snowfall in this town, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi ordered to keep all Government Offices Boards Corporations , Autonomous bodies, Educational Institutions etc. closed on Feburary 5 , 2022 ( Saturday ) within the territorial limits of Municipal Corporation Shimla.
DC issuing holiday notification late night on Friday said that this district have experienced heavy snow fall on February 3 & 4, 2022, disrupted the movement of vehicles, public transport, taxis and other commuters.
All major internal roads in the Town and some parts of the District blocked by mounting of snow on all major road in the. town after continuous two days of snow fall .
District administration and Municipal corporation along with state agencies have relentlessly put in all efforts and deployed all resources, including men and machinery to restore the movement of vehicles and all essential services .
The vehicles of tourist in Shimla town has also increased manifold who are making bee line to see snowfall, DC said adding that it would take some more time for complete restoration of roads and services .
He said that all Government Offices Boards Corporations, Autonomous bodies, Educational Institutions etc. on tomorrow on Feburary 5, 2022 ( Saturday ) within the territorial limits of Municipal Corporation Shimla .
However this order shall not effect working of state agencies dealing with maintenance of essential and emergency Services and functioning of official preparating of state Budget, he added.
